Have you ever noticed how many people put up an FAQ and anticipate questions even if they have never actually been asked the questions?

Do any of the X (X/1999) characters appear in the movie?

None that weren't in Tokyo Babylon, but I did scrutinize the backgrounds for any lookalikes.

Do Subaru and Seishirou actually kiss?

YES. Anywhere outside my head, no. The movie greatly toned down any homosexual overtones. The closest Subaru and Seishirou ever get is a threatening stare-down.

Why not?

I wasn't in charge of the movie. But, I must admit that the box looks like a bad Japanese gay porno.

Why don't Subaru and Seishirou smoke in the movie?

Hell if I know. Once again, I was not in charge. Maybe Sony Music was too cheap to buy cigarettes. They were too cheap to do decent special effects.

Does the Tree appear in the movie?

There isn't so much as a solitary sakura petal throughout the entire movie. On that note, nor was there a single solitary ofuda thrown (those cards Subaru and Seishirou throw), or pentacle, or hand-through-the-chest, or shikigami (those birds Subaru and Seishirou have), or pretty much anything else hallmark of Tokyo Babylon. Once again: I was not in charge.

Where's the Vet-Van?

My garage. Definitely not in the movie, at any rate.

What's up with Seishirou killing people like Darth Vader?

It is a lot cheaper to have somebody act like he is choking than to make it look as though somebody has his hand through a person's chest.

Why does Subaru's wardrobe suck? I know Hokuto is no longer around, but in X he looked badass.

I could pull the budget/ghetto card, but I think the plain wardrobe works in a live-action adaptation, especially since all the essence of CLAMP has been sucked out of it. Subaru looks even more like he could care less about his appearance. I was disappointed not to see his white coat and combat boots, though.
